{"id":20177,"date":"2016-03-23T00:00:11","date_gmt":"2016-03-23T04:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devwp.davison.com\/blog\/?p=20177"},"modified":"2018-05-30T10:06:03","modified_gmt":"2018-05-30T14:06:03","slug":"thats-a-wrap-for-the-global-pet-expo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.davison.com\/blog\/thats-a-wrap-for-the-global-pet-expo\/","title":{"rendered":"That\u2019s a Wrap for the Global Pet Expo!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-20181\" title=\"Davison Inventions - Global Pet Expo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.davison.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_78281-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Davison Inventions - Global Pet Expo\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s hard to believe, but after the hustle and bustle of preparing for the Global Pet Expo, the pet industry\u2019s largest annual trade show has come to a close for another year.<\/p>\n<p>As we mentioned in a previous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davison.com\/blog\/the-global-pet-expo-fun-has-just-begun\/\">blog<\/a>, we were hard at work putting the finishing touches on our Davison-licensed products that were heading to the Global Pet Expo.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Managing Senior Director of Licensing Matt made his way to Orlando, Florida for the trade show on our behalf.<\/p>\n<p>While at the show, Matt picked up on some trends in the pet industry \u2013 food and treats, toys, and leashes seemed to be hot-ticket items that were spurring trade show-goer interest.<\/p>\n<p>But there were several other items spurring interest, according to Matt. This year was very successful for both Davison and for Hugs Pet Products, who license many Davison-designed products.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20179\" title=\"Davison Inventions - Global Pet Expo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.davison.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/20160315_163553_resized.jpg\" alt=\"Davison Inventions - Global Pet Expo\" width=\"425\" height=\"755\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em><br \/>\n&#8220;Hugs did very well,&#8221;<\/em> said Matt. <em>&#8220;There were times when I walked by their booth that every rep there was talking with someone and there were interested people still standing around waiting to hear about the products.&#8221; <\/em><\/p>\n<p>At this year\u2019s trade show, our friends at Hugs Pet Products were able to showcase some of their new items at the Expo\u2019s <em>\u201cNew Product Showcase.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-20178 aligncenter\" title=\"Davison Inventions - Global Pet Expo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.davison.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_20160317_135009.jpg\" alt=\"Davison Inventions - Global Pet Expo\" width=\"425\" height=\"425\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hugs featured their Paula Deen Premium Select Pet Food, their brand-new line of Massaging Groomers, the Puff Pad and their recently-unveiled Realtree Dog Treats. <em><br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\nMatt also mentioned that words like <em>\u201cInnovative\u201d <\/em>and <em>\u201cInteresting\u201d <\/em>were used to describe the Massaging Groomers brushes including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davison.com\/products\/product_hugspalmbrushes.html\">Palm Brush<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davison.com\/products\/product_hugspinbrushes.html\">Pin Brush<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davison.com\/products\/product_hugsslickerbrushes.html\">Slicker Brush<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to Matt\u2019s updates, we can see that the excitement didn\u2019t stop when the Global Pet Expo ended.
