As you may or may not be aware, March is the month where we celebrate all of the glorious contributions that females have made to the world.\u00a0 It\u2019s Women\u2019s History Month and this year\u2019s theme is Women\u2019s Eduction \u2013 Women\u2019s Empowerment!<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s theme is thanks to a very recent phenomenon\u2026 the number of women in American colleges now outnumbers the number of men!\u00a0 Read more about this year\u2019s theme and the journey that women took to get to the head of the class at the National Women\u2019s History Project<\/a> webpage!<\/p>\n

And, talk about empowering\u2026\u00a0 Sarah Blakely, the inventor of Spanx, is the world\u2019s youngest female self-made billionaire!\u00a0 What are Spanx?\u00a0 They\u2019re body-shaping innovations that range from undergarments to swimsuits, acitvewear and men\u2019s undershirts!<\/p>\n

Just like every inventor, Blakely\u2019s invention has a great story to accompany it as well.\u00a0 According to Spanx.com<\/a>, \u201c\u2026 Blakely was \"Clothinggetting ready for a party when she realized she didn\u2019t have the right undergarment to provide a blemish-free look under white pants.\u00a0 Armed with scissors and sheer genius, she cut the feet off her control top pantyhose and the Spanx revolution began!\u201d<\/p>\n

The company now offers over 200 products; but, don\u2019t be fooled.\u00a0 Like many inventors, Blakely\u2019s first attempt at success ended in failure.\u00a0 But, that certainly didn\u2019t stop her!<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople have million dollar and billion dollar ideas daily; and, you have to trust your gut.\u00a0 Go for it and if you fail at it, that\u2019s great\u2026 because it just means\u2026 change something, do something a little bit different.\u00a0 I mean, every failure is definitely a gift and it should just not stop us in our tracks,\u201d said Blakely.<\/p>\n
